Thoughts on Anxiety

At times anxiety is normal and gives strength to accomplish a task. At other times anxiety becomes limiting and can lead to loss of personal freedom.  Some people experience anxiety in the form of panic attacks.    Anxiety may be triggered by a specific situation or object.  Severe anxiety may result from experiencing trauma.  Some people may experience a sense of restlessness that is uncontrollable, fear regarding upcoming events or activities, and difficulties with sleep.  With counselling, a person’s anxiety can be understood.  Triggers to the anxiety can be managed.   Each person’s journey is unique.
