Alison Dyck M.A., R.P., C.P.C., S.E.P., C.C.F.T. is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario. Alison is also a Certified Couple and Family Therapist. As a Briercrest Seminary graduate, she is also a Certified Professional Counsellor with the Professional Association of Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists and so able to integrate faith values and spirituality with counselling for those who desire this. Alison, born in Europe, has traveled globally and is familiar and comfortable with people from varied faith backgrounds and cultures to those of no faith. Alison is aware of the experience of immigration. As a mother, grandmother and former foster parent to young offenders, Alison is understanding of many aspects of family life first hand. Alison holds a specialty in post abortion/child abuse and neglect recovery. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Alison has a speciality in trauma recovery. Alison formerly worked at Shalom Counselling Services. Alison has worked at and supported the Sunparlour Pregnancy Resource Centre since 1997, providing community education concerning sexual health and relationships to adolescents, crisis pregnancy support, couple and family support and counselling, post abortion healing work and trainings for support workers.
